Interesting Message Board Feature
I just bought a Honda FIT and have joined a Message Board for FIT Owners……it's neat to discuss and read about this neat little big car! The board uses Invision Power Board v2.1.4 © and the guy running it made a post about people posting pictures of their FIT's and that they could set up a Blog to do this……now I had IPB for a while but when they went pay per view dumped it cause there would be no more upgrades for the free version. Whatever, I think having the ability to offer your members a blog is pretty cool.

anyway… the trackbacks work here so don’t change any settings… except maybe switching to a theme that shows the links. Most of them do. You just happened to pick one that didn’t. Was this the default theme or did you actually pick it? It sucks by the way.

If you click on the “tioat.net” link it will open that post and you will see “This entry was posted on Monday, May 29th, 2006 at 12:45 am and is… etc” in a gray box right under the post. If you copy the trackback shortcut from that post and add it to this post on your blog then your blog will post a comment on my blog to that post.

Use the one that has trackback on the end. You could do what I did too and just loop it back to the same post on your blog. It’s easier and faster to see if it’s working.

It takes awhile sometimes. Edit this post and you can see if it sent the trackback; it says already sent. You can only send one per post… to the same post or blog that is.

Yes you would normally use the trackback link from someone else’s blog but to test you could use that one.

I don’t like the trackback thingy…it sucks. And I have a comprehension block or something…..I copied the link for the fliker crap to and that didn’t work…..there was no place to save my change
